Resident Evil: Extinction “Beyond the Sequel” — Psylocke Shogun [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... Now let us agree on one thing first. Anderson didn't do such a hot job on the first one. I could have been a lot better then that. The second point I owuld like to make is that the Sequel (Apocolypse) is yet to be released till January next year. With all the little plot twists and script changes going out, not even the mention of a new monster (besides Nemesis himself. The lickers are going to get tires soon). The hunter or a giant spider atleast would keep the audience on edge. The simple truth about this one is that it will just have to wait. It will take probably another year or two before Afterlife hits the theaters seeing as the bubble headed director has chosen to sit this one out until he is done with Alien Vs. Predator. Now onto the good news. It will be evident until we actually get confirmed notice that Alice (Milla Jovovich) will be returning in the third installment. To who's proclivity however will the Director be is everyones question. Besides that fact we must wait to see the outcome of the Sequel or in that angle of confusion, what job the new director will bestow upon the storyline. This is the same thing that happened to Mortal Kombat. Anderson left that project to die and gave up. Let's just wait to see the bang up job he has to give the Second one before we start to get excited about this one. Oh yes. And to keep the equal librium unequal, Afterlife will take place in Code Veronica but only likely to be there for a short while. My opinion is that the doing Code Veronica will have with the third one is an opening and Anderson will most likely end the frnchise with Afterlife and leave the finale to the game.
