May 12, 2007 — Despite a drop of 70% from its opening weekend, "Spider-Man 3" still managed to net an impressive single-day take in its second frame, according to Variety.
Pic added about $17.3 million to its haul and passed the $199 million mark at the domestic B.O.
Among other new openers, "28 Weeks Later," the zombie pic from Fox Searchlight, scared up an estimated $3.8 million on Friday sources said to land in No. 2.
"Georgia Rule" was in third place at the box office with $1.8 million. |
