megatron0630 said: I loved Spider-Man 3. Yes I would love to have the extended version just like the rest of you, and I think it would be respected more with those scenes, but I really don't care one way or the other about what others think. I thought Spider-Man 3 was so far my favorite Marvel movie. I still have good taste in films. I just loved Spider-Man 3, and now....i must say I enjoyed X-Men The Last Stand as well. It did follow threw things that were true. Cyclops did leave for a while. He didn't die but he did leave. Anyway I hated him so he died and I really didn't care. Jean was a bad guy so they followed that well, and Beast, Beast was the man. But still Wolverine is the best. There I said it. I loved Spider-Man 3, and X-Men The Last Stand.
You know whats funny is that the third films werent that great but I find myself to enjoy watching them more than the sequel and first films for some odd reason.
I loved spider-man 2 more than the first but, the only reason I loved the third was because of the involvement of venom. Been waiting since the first one to see how venom would be portrayed on film. Was I satisfied as a fan, no but was I happy that Venom was finally put on screen, Yes. The sandman was just plain silly and maybe the film would have been better if it was just venom as the villian leading to carnage for the next film. Its either that or we could have got ben kingsley as the vulture that was originally planned.
As far as x-men 3 goes, I was not excited about the outcome and thought it was more of a real mess than spider-man 3. I really wanted to at least see juggernaut vs. collosuss but we didnt get that. The deleted scenes that were accidently leaked should have made it to the original cut. Even though the cure was not permeanent, I thought the storyline was horrible. The character of angel was just pointless and all he did was fly. He seemed to be an important character from the flash back scene in the beginning but he wasnt at all besides saving his father at the end. X-men 3 was just entertainment but a PURE SLAP in the face to fans. The second film was one of the best in the series of marvel films made today besides spider-man 2.

I loved the 3rd movie. When I think about it, all my favorite parts involve either Harry or Sandman. I think the movie would have gone a lot better if Venom wasn't in it at all, but that's probably obvious information by now. Either way, I still like it. Venom being in it was a final, sweet bonus.
Now X3 was just unforgivable. It's like they don't even try to respect the source material. Honestly, x3 was a big pile of steamy crap. While I guess it's watchable, it just sucks the more and more I think about it.
You got it a bit backwards...
With X3, Ratner tried to recover back to the source material that Singer screwed up so bad with all the age and background changes, but Fox execs wouldn't give him enough time to make a quality film. He did the best he could with what he had to work with.
SM3 was the film that COMPLETELY disrespected the source material especially Venom. Raimi didn't like the character so he assassinated it and ruined the story. Granted Arad pushed him to include Venom so it isn't entirely his fault, but at least he had the full production time to work on the film. It should have been far better than what we got.

Yep. Funny how people don't want some to bash what they like, but they don't have a problem with bashing some. Funny you brought up Rob Zombie's Halloween, 'cause that movie with too much plot holes, bad acting, no creativity, etc. It make SM3 look like a masterpiece, even thought SM3 is so-so. ~The One True Tarheels X-Stud
