of this franchise. Sarah Connor Chronicles is toast now and Salvation has been underperforming in the box office. Is it finally time for 'Terminator' to be put down?

Well it opens in most overseas territories this week, so hopefully it will do good business then. If it can pull in $400m plus in foreign markets combined (then adding US total gross, may come to just over $500mil), I think a sequel may follow. Looking at the US performance though, that target may not be reached.

I really hope another movie will follow.

My top movies of 2009

1. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
2. Star Trek
3. District 9
4. Curious Case of Benjamin Button
5. Transformers 2
6. Terminator Salvation
7. Watchmen
8. This Is It
9. Inglorious Basterds
10. Bruno
11. Wolverine
12. Friday 13th
13. Monsters Vs Aliens
14. Angels and Demon's
15. Hannah Montana

I agree. I really liked McG's direction and the individual actors' performances in Salvation. I think it was the subpar writing (the screenplay was written by the same geniuses that did T3 and Catwoman) that made the movie feel a bit off. With some better screenwriters next time around, we could get something truly outstanding.

Don't forget DVD sales too. Sometime that can help.

Terminator Salvation was great but they didn't market the movie properly.

I liked this movie and I'll be dissapointed if we don't get another one.

I saw nothing about this movie until I saw a poster in the movie theater. I didn't even see any commercials about it until it was almost out.

From what you guys wrote, I think I'll wait until it comes out on video

I would. At best it was an OK flick, nothing fantastic. Better than T3 but that's not saying a whole lot.

I liked this movie as well. Yeah there were some flaws here and there but what I liked about this movie is that this is uncharted territory. You really don't know what is going to happen to the characters. In the other 3 you know for sure that John Conner will live to lead the resistance. Now that we are in the future what happens next is uncertain. I hope that this isn't the end.
