Movie:
  1. Terminator 2: Judgment Day - 9.4/10
  2. The Terminator - 9/10
  3. Terminator Salvation - 8.6/10
  4. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines - 7.3/10
Favorites:
  1. T-1000 - The best and coolest villain of the franchise.
  2. Marcus Wright - The man is a living cyborg and is very trustworthy, protective, and badass. You can't go wrong with that.
  3. Sarah Connor - She is one the best heroines out there today and is definitely an icon of the franchise.
  4. Kyle Reese - He has great leadership and absolutely won't give up without a fight.
John Connor
  1. Christian Bale - I felt he did the best job because it's a lot harder to play the leader of a war than it is to be an innocent teenager.
  2. Edward Furlong - he is the best on not taking the role too far. He kept his role in a nice range it really worked out.
  3. Michael Edwards - if I were to picture John Connor at war, it's this guy right here. If he were younger, he would've been great in 'Salvation'.
  4. Nick Stahl - He pulled off one of the worst acts in Terminator history. He really didn't fit the part of John Connor at all.

1. TS
2. T3: RotM
3. T2: JD
4. The Terminator

I've recently seen all of the Terminator movies and I have no idea why so many people absolutely love T2 and hate T3 or TS or both. In my mind all the movies are good and the only thing that changes is the effects and action keep getting better.

I agree with pretty much all of your choices there, expect putting Stahl over Edwards. While Stahl wasn't that great, we never seen enough of Edwards to say if he is better than Stahl though. But that just me.

I totally agree. It just makes sense. And there still hasn't been anyone who can explain why it should be otherwise. Someone answer me! Why is everyone in love with 1 and especially 2 but don't like 3 and 4? They are just as good if not better.

T2
Salvation / T1 (depends on the day which I preferred)
T3

Aside from just arguing preference for my ordering, T3 had a lot of things that felt forced; not to mention the extremely gimicky T-X, which was just a failed attempt to outdo both the T-1000 and T-800 by combining the technologies.

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

It's really how you look at them. You are judging all of them by action and special effects. Which is what action-junkies usually do to movies.

Fans of the first two love how they were handled. The music, the direction, the acting, and the writing. They are judging them by substance. They feel that T3 and T:S are losing that substance that the first two handled so well.

Not agreeing or disagreeing with you, just making a point.

Yeah, you got a point. I might have been a little hard on Stahl, but I'm gambling that Edwards would be much better.

I agree.

T-1000 is actually more of a threat than T-X. T-1000 is all liquid. You can't rip him apart at all. I can't say the same for T-X though.
