| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |

| I have to say that being a bit of a trek fan myself I was somewhat skeptical about the new movie. That was soon put to rest once the movie started the characters are believable and although I was a little disappointed not to hear the classic line "Nuclear Wessels" that is hardly a down point of the movie. It completely reintroduces Star Trek to a whole new audience, it makes old futuristic Trek technology look more up to date and very believeable. The effects where fantastic without being to intruding on the film. When I learn't that Lenoard Nimoy was to make an appearence I thought it was going to be a little camp, that couldn't be further from the truth. I also had my reservations about Eric Bana playing the BIG baddie after the 2003 Hulk fiasco and other projects he has worked on since but ultimately he proved to be a winner to accurately portraying a Romulan with a massive Grudge against Spock (Nimoy), With the exception of Chekov I thought everyone portrayed their characters far above my expectations, this film is a winner and can't wait for the sequal go see it. |
