MovieHole recently talked to Nick Phillips about his upcoming projects, and revealed some details on Halloween 9.

As for "Halloween 9", that's been quite a journey so far. We have a few different storylines we're considering, all of which respect the classic mythology while trying to bring something new to the franchise. It's been a real honor to work with the one and only Moustapha Akkad and his son, Malek. I mean, how many times have I seen his name in huge orange letters on screen!! Those guys are the keepers of the flame and I would hate to mess that up. I go on a lot of horror websites everyday, mostly as a fan, and I seem to read a new rumor every week about H9, none of which are accurate. Unless you hear it from Malek or myself, it's just not true. But stay tuned, we'll have some news soon!
