A sequel to this remake? GOD NO.

I heard Dimension and Malek are considering now to do a sequel to Resurrection which is what we should have gotten, mainly due to all the negative feedback from fans which makes sense.

Yes, I heard he was signed on for another movie but that can easily change and I think it will. Halloween 9 is what we need to get next. Time will tell. We'll know a lot by their next move.

I heard Macolm Mcdowell had singed on too, I also heard they were thinking very seriously about a trilogy based on Rob Zombie's halloween now I don't believe Rob Zombie will be involved in the sequels so it will be interesting what someone else comes up with - the first sequel will not necessarily be a remake to Halloween part 2 & could be based on new material .

I'd hate to see the remake become the basis of a series reboot. That would mean that, for me and alot of other people I know atleast, that the series was over. I've watched the remake and it wasn't worth the time I spent.

At the same time, I would like to see a new movie that takes the place of Resurrection in the series timeline. If they really needed to kill Laurie, and let's face it, it was her or him and we all know how much good it does to try to kill Michael. I just wish that they had dedicated one more movie to the Michael vs Laurie story line that ended with her death rather than offing her in the first 10 minutes and then going on to make an MTV-style sequel.

I agree with you Lucid, there shouldn't be another. Technically H2O should have finished it off. When I mentioned the movie about Michael killing Laurie, I meant that when they decided to do Resurrection, that would have been much better idea and story than what we got out of it.

As much as I loved Resurrection, after killing Laurie, it should have been about Michael going after her son, John. Then maybe Laurie dying wouldn't have been hated so much.

BUT since we got what we got, it was time for it to move into a new direction and start going after someone else. John would be perfect and what a lot of people talk about. Seriously, we still need at least one more Halloween sequel, then have a real movie to finally end the series, the right way.

And because it seems we may not get that sequel to Resurrection, I had to take matters into my own hands and finish the series myself. I wrote Halloween 9, then finished the series with Halloween 10.

Its just that he would make the movie kinda suspensful and make it better than ressurection (Which was a piece of sh*t movie). Basically any director should have made it but NO sequal, now suddenly there's rumblings about a "CHILDS PLAY" remake. Honestly, {edit} that, {edit} hollywood, cant even make new stories. How sad.

If they were to do a sequel to Resurrection the only way it would really work would be if he were to go after Laurie's son John.

I don't really see a problem with making a sequel to Zombies remake. I doubt they would do a remake of Halloween 2, or any of the prior sequels, it'll probably be an original story. Plus we will still have Laurie (she wouldn't appear in a sequel to Resurrection).

How on earth would it be too complicated to continue from Halloween 8? It would not be at all. Just because you or anyone can't think HOW it would, does not make it complicated. I can perfectly see how it would continue.

And I don't think there will be a sequel to that remake. Why make a remake to something so horribe. Halloween 9 needs to come next. It's WAY over due.

The stupid idiot's that wrote & produced Halloween 8 " killed the series " , I mean
Halloween was stuffed up enough with H3 & H2O but they had a chance to do something good after H2O like take the story from the new comic books that are coming out check the story out on Halloween.movies.com but instead of doing that they made H8 - I mean Rob Zombie could have done a sequel better than ressurection .

Give me a break, Halloween 8 did NOT kill the series. And please, Rob Zombie could barely do a remake, he could in NO WAY do a better sequel than Resurrection. Resrrection wasn't THAT bad. It was pretty good. But obviously not to you.
