January 30, 2002 — At a Q and A session at USC Film School, Steven Spielberg gave an update on the Goonies 2. According to Spielberg, Goonies 2 is currently in pre-pre production, meaning that it is in development. Spielberg is involved as an Executive Producer, and ALL of the original cast members are returning. The story would be about the their children dabbling in adventures ALONG with their parents. Spielberg said that the movie WOULD be made.
