August 23, 2001 — Jeff "Chunk" Cohen talked with DVD File about the new disc release of the fantasy/adventure classic and was asked about the rumoured sequel in the works

"Actually there are some writers attached who are developing the material. Will it happen? I don't know. I think we're all kind of doing our own thing but they are writing a script and people have talked to us about it, but we'll see. The thing with features, unlike television, is that the development process is so long. It's just so protracted. I'll tell you one thing, and I think this came through in that picture of all of us (taken after the commentary recording), it was really cool to be together. Working on that picture together was really a bond for all of us and, in a way, it was like no time had passed. Will we do a sequel? I don't know, but what we did have was that day of all being there and recording the commentary and that was a very special day to me. It's almost like you're home".
