SpielbergFilms.com has debunked the rumors that casting has started for Jurassic Park 4, but did confirm the project is still in development. Here's a clip from the site's report:

Steven Spielbergs personal reps at Amblin Entertainment (co-producers of the "Jurassic Park" franchise) have told SpielbergFilms.com that casting has not commenced on the film, as the story and screenplay are still in development.

Having watched number 3 I did think they shouldn't make another one, let us hope that when they make this one, it'll wash out the rubbish that the 3 one left us with.

I hope they get moving on 4. l really like JP3. The best in the franchise to me. The only big mistake being that Allan & Ellie didn't end up together. The 2nd was the least enjoyable IMO.

It worked for king kong. godzilla and cloverfield but most of the time when a script says let's bring something well known and really scary to the city it's usually met with a feeling of, "you just know this is going to be bad". It had it's moments with the mercenaries being attacked in high grass but most of it just felt cheesy. To be fair i'll give it another view later today (maybe). I'll have to revise my which is best belief because entertainment wise I find 3 the most enjoyable but I just remembered that the kid somehow managed to survive around all these dinosaurs on his own for weeks (or months?). Really hard to believe anyone could do that but I guess that's why they are tellling this story and not all the ones where people get corned and ripped to shreds in minutes.

Jurassic Park was my favorite, followed by Lost World and JP3. 3 didn't seem as much like a JP movie to me in that it didn't so much advance the story of the islands, which was what the first two had done.

I heard about those Dinoriders, and the cross breeding for Dinosaurs. That was probably THEE dumbest thing ive ever read. I thought it was fanfic, but i heard they were actualy making a story for that, i was like "wow, can someone say Milk the franchise dry now?".

in visual effects this could be very good .

I too agree with you. The Jurassic Park 3 did not meet the expectation of the audience. But still I am Steven Spielberg will do the necessary things to meet our expectation.

True that, but I still believe that even the first JP has much better digital creature effects than most stuff ye see on tv nowadays. Well, not counting those bigger movies with meganormous budgets of course

The Jurassic Park movies get progressively worse as the series continues. It seems to add something new they create a new Island, each with new breeds of dinosaur that hadn't been previously mentioned.

And the ringing dinosaur that ate the satelite phone in JP3 was beyond corny.

Yea, well I surely ain't a big fan of JP3 either . . . I blame Joe Johnston . . . but there's three movies and two islands, so they didn't just add another island every movie
I'm all for JP4 but only as long as it's done by Spielberg and has some interesting and good story behind it!
