l-reboot

At the tail end of a recent Variety article discussing Fox's plan to tweak their strategy for the next few years considering this year was kind of a crapshoot, they drop a little nugget about rebooting a certain red leather loving blind superhero. Check it out (the key phrase is bolded):

Though Fox has no plans for a major overhaul, the studio has scheduled a strategy meeting to assess the status of its superheroes, a group sorely missed this summer. On the agenda, Fox will mull the possibility of more "X-Men" spinoffs, including a young-X-Men project as well as "Deadpool," based on a character played by Ryan Reynolds in "Wolverine." The studio is even considering reviving the "Daredevil" property.

And why not? Daredevil never really got a fair shake with the Mark Steven Johnson directed silliness (though I don't think Ben Affleck was that bad as Daredevil) so let's get this bad boy back on the big screen done right. Especially considering he's as dark and brooding as superheroes get and that's all the rage these days.

F*ck FOX!. Theyll probably end up making an even worse movie than that Punisher reboot/sequal movie.

Either way, i KNOW theyll f*ck it up somehow.

I'm going to mail Marvel my next paycheck for them to put towards buying back all of THEIR franchises.

Reboots:

Hollywood's excuse to FAIL.

As much of the country is left stranded for Christmas due to a storm, I wonder what are their thoughts on the credibility of Global Warming? HAHA...

Been saying this for YEARS

It'd be sensible, but there's really no point to it.

I think I've figured out a formula for the live action/cartoon success for movies:

When the characters have real problems OUTSIDE of their super-hero lives, the movie and/or Saturday morning serial tends to work better in live-action.

When the characters do NOT have real problems outside of their super-hero lives, the concept works better as a cartoon.

So in my opinion, most marvel characters work WAY better in live-action than they do in the cartoon world, and DC characters work better being animated.

Daredevil really doesn't have any real problems when he's not in costume. Sure he's blind, but he's also well-educated, has a very good job, and is virtually undefeated as a lawyer.

If Marvel DOES decide to reboot Daredevil, they need to do it as a direct to DVD animated feature like they did with Dr. Strange.
