I just watched the directors cut and loved it. I loved the original that I saw in theaters and this one was even better. It had a much bigger storyline and seemed to care a bit more about the characters, really liked how it gave foggy more screen time Jon Favreau was amazing, but....

Down to business I wish there was something I could do! I would honestly do what ever it takes to get another one of these movies made! Daredevil needs a sequel! I understand a lot of people weren't too fond with having Affleck do DD and thats fine I think he did pretty good but whatever, I could definently live with another person being cast beings Affleck has said on many occasions that he doesn't want to do another, but we DD fans have seriously gotta band together here, I loved the comics, I think DD is definently one of the most remarkable superheros out there

and if you ask me DD 1 was a lot better than the Spiderman films, I know everyone is going to go crazy at that, but (well the directors cut anyway) was a really dark gripping movie, i thought. Spiderman was still done fairly well, I think but Sam Raimi f'ed it up quite a bit. The whole symbiote storyline was insanely mistreated and the movie was fairly poorly casted. DD had its casting problems no doubt but for the most part was good, Michael Clarke Duncan as the kingpin was perfect and ingenious casting.

I'm getting a little off topic but the main point here is that for the love of god please make another DD!!!! This thing could be turned around so easily, i just wish that a few writers, producers and everyone would just spend a little more time on it, revisit the story and make at least one more movie.

I mean come on its been almost five years now! That is way way too long.

I just wish there was something I or we could do!!! Any ideas? post back.

Affleck wasn't my problem.

The problem with Daredevil is that the ONLY character who was kept IN character was Bullseye.

Except for Bullseye, ALL the acting and dialogue were terrible. The story wasn't all that original either.

It's really a shame too. I truly believe that Michael Clark Duncan could have pulled off a WONDERFUL Kiingpin had there been a decent script.

not all the dialogue, I loved the conversations between murdock and foggy nelson those were great, the only truly crappy dialogue i thougt was in the fight scenes, i personally loved ABSOLUTELY loved the first half of explaining how he came to be DD, not cmpletely true to comics, but done very well for Hollywood i thought

If the Daredevil rights fall back to Marvel then I'm sure we'll see a new revamped film.

I agree with you.

I loved this film and can't understand whats mainly wrong with it. I think a lot of people hated it because Ben Affleck was in it and they didn't like Ben Affleck. Also the less liberal among us didn't take too kindly to a black man playing the part of a white caucasian kingpin.

I think a sequel is deserved, definately.

This is who should have played Kingpin....

Aside from that, the film was horrible. Poorly written, poorly acted, and Ben Affleck should never play a superhero. Or anything else for that matter....

don't really know if butterbean would have been the best choice though, kingpin is big with muscle, not fat. I think Duncan did a great job with the lines he was given.

sorry but i completely disagree this film really deserves a second chance, and everyone should see the directors cut

That's exactly what I believe. Daredevil wasn't no Blade or Batman Begins but it was still a good comic book movie. It was a lot better than Ghost Rider and FF.

Are you for real????????? That dude is like 5"8. Or shorter.

Michael Clark Duncan wasn't white like the comic version but in my opinion he was still perfect.

plus i kinda doubt that butterbean can act,

I wish that I could show all this support for the movie to people who can do something about it because everything that I've heard is that they think there wouldn't be any money in it, i thought maybe that was true, but after seeing all the fans like me there still are maybe there's still a chance

I guess you don't know much about him because you're wrong.

Eric Scott "Butterbean" Esch is 5' 11" and 396lbs. Plus he's WHITE!!

It's one thing to portray a comic character slightly smaller or with somewhat different clothing but to change the ethnicity is going a step too far. I have nothing against MCD's acting ability or his race and feel he'd be absolutely great for other roles, but the Kingpin is a BIG FAT WHITE GUY!!

like i said duncan had the perfect body build butter bean is tooo FAT, Kingpin has MUSCLE. I can't even believe that this has become a thing about race, I know that everyone would be different if say daredevil had been black, but come on this guy is just a villain and when you have to find someone with a body build like that....

I don't know it worked out great I thought, and I still don't quite know how everyone thinks it was poorly acted, I thought everyone did a great job, there were some weak scenes and a couple of cheesy lines here and there, but that is in every COMIC BOOK movie. Spiderman had a lot of trouble in a few scenes with this.

The thing about Daredevil was it was a terrible film from a piss poor director. Mark Steven Johnson has ruined 2 comic book franchises in my eyes, there's no substance to his films...you can't even watch them for entertainment value since they lack a decent script for one and a capable lead actor for another. As for the Kingpin, MCD is a great actor but there were dozens of other actors that would be better fit for the role...IMO

Dont care what anyone says, DD was an awsome movie. Good acting, story, action, etc.

MCD was good as Kingpin, and so was Afleck. Marvel needs to get back the rights and make a damn sequal already, with afleck back somehow.

5 years is too long.

Even if he was that short, they could have done any number of establishing shots to make him look way taller.

Very true, but I at least had fun watching it. I was so bored with Daredevil my eyes were bleeding. I've never really liked the character either so that had some impact too.

Everything that I've been saying so far is mainly for the fans whats the point of asking someone who hates DD?

I just would think that theres gotta be something that we can do to help get this movie made, and I know petitions aren't really worth anything at all

I had no problem with MDC playing Kingpin. So they changed his race, he was still perfect for the part.

I liked the movie, and while I couldn't find any major flaws, there just seemed to be something missing. . .

Is that fat guy even an actor?

I'm all for casting people that look the part...but I'd rather have someone that can act well as opposed to somebody who looks the part.

I agree man! I liked DD. Have the directors cut here at home. The only thing I don't like about that version is that Matt never screws Elektra.

5 foot 11 is still too short to me.

And Kingpin isn't just fat. He has a lot of muscle mixed with fat.

Oh and I agree. Daredevil was 10000000000000000x better than the Spider-man films, which seemed like Disney films.
