Personaly I don't think Dicrappio is at all a good Alexander. When I first heard of this movie I never thought of Dicrappio playing the lead role. I could see Dicrappio as Alex's bitch or something like that, you know, his servent.
I think they should get either a new person or ... Russell Crow. I don't like it either but he was perfect in Gladiator and he would be perfect for Alexander. But really I would be happy with anybody more masculin than Dicrappio.

I think they were going for the pretty-boy look, than the robust look like Russell, but I agree with you. The movie will succeed or fail based on his performance, so I guess we'd better hope he can shed his southern California accent.
We'll get an idea if he's improved his skills with gangs of New York...
