Now I saw it and loved it. (10/10 stars) Well I have a few questions about Hero, but even though I did know the plot, I wasen't sure.
So let me see if I got it right.
Nameless is brought to see the king of the Qin palace and he's telling him the story. But the emporerer knows it's a lie and then Nameless tells him the real story. Then in the real story Sky isn't dead, Nameless just used that one move that wounds you, but doesn't kill you. Then in front of the Qin guards he "kills" Snow, but he doesn't he just uses the wounding move on her. Then Moon tries to fight. Then we realize that Sky, Snow, and Nameless are the assassians and that Broken Sword knows not to kill him, cause he knows that even though there will be death, it's for the greater good. Then Snow tells her servant if the assassination works bring a red flag, if not bring a yellow flag. Then when Nameless is talking to the emporerer he says he's from Zhoa (speeling sorry) and that he's here to kill him. Then when he's about to do it, he doesn't cause he listened to Broken Sword. And Broken sword told him that the ideal for a warrior is not to raise your sword, but to go in peace. And that if you train and kill in hatred that there is no sword in your heart, but if you kill for good, you have the sword in your heart. So then Snow is mad at Broken Sword and tells him to raise his sword. He does, but he doesn't want to kill her cause he says the only thing in his heart is her, and she doesn't believe him so insted of blocking her sword and killing her and lets her kill him to show her that he loves her and she's the only thing in his heart. She is depressed and is questioning why he didn't fight. Then she kills herself so she can be together with him in heaven. Then when Moon comes and cries that her master and his former lover is dead. Then when Nameless gets to the wall, the emporerer tells the soldiers to execute him, cause he was gonna kill him and that they need to make an example of him. He doesn't want to kill Nameless, but he knows he must. So they kill him and give him a hero's burial. So then Broken Sword, Snow, and Nameless all die, but Moon and Sky live, and then all the chinease nations unite and everyone becomes peaceful.
Am I right? If I'm wrong please correct me cause I want to understand it fully. The movie was great. It made me feel sad for the lovers and Nameless and the fight scenes and colors dazzeled me.

I didn't read the ENTIRE thing, but I read about halfway through, and you seemed pretty right.

I just watched it today and I loved it. I wanted to touch on some of the things you wrote:
"Then Snow tells her servant if the assassination works bring a red flag, if not bring a yellow flag."
Red if the asassination is successful, yellow if it was not.
"Then when he's (Nameless) about to do it (kill the King of Qin), he doesn't cause he listened to Broken Sword. And Broken sword told him that the ideal for a warrior is not to raise your sword, but to go in peace. And that if you train and kill in hatred that there is no sword in your heart, but if you kill for good, you have the sword in your heart.
The reason that Nameless did not kill the King of Qin is for the future unity of China, or Broken Sword's two words, "Our Land". What Broken Sword taught Nameless is that even though it's the Warring States period right now, all of the pain and death is only happening in the short run. In the long run, after all of the fighting between the states is done, they will be united and there will be peace for everybody. (The personal pains of individuals like Nameless and Snow should be sacrifices for the greater cause.)
A big thing that the audience has to understand is the (brief) history of the Warring States in China and how the Qin Dynasty was the first Chinese dynasty. The Qin Dynasty was brutal and harsh and only lasted for a short time period, about 15 years or so. But aside from their strict rule (or even "tyranny"), they still hold credit for uniting China and they uniformed a lot of things, like currency, measurements, and writing (the movie touched upon this when Nameless said there were 19 ways of writing "sword" and the King said how can people understand when there's so many ways and that he'd standardize writing).
Although the Qin did a lot of bad things, like burn books, they still were the ones who united China and sat the foundation for the future rulers. In the long run, there really was peace because after the Qin's 15 years, the next dynasty was the Han Dynasty which lasted about 400 years (with a break in the middle) and was known to be a really peaceful and happy period (flourishing culture, etc).
