Steve Coogan credits his Around The World In 80 Days co-star Jackie Chan with teaching him how to use different humour rather than just hamming it up. "I was surprised about his innate sense of comic timing and a lot of the funny moments were given to me by him.
"He'd say do X, Y and Z and I'd get a bigger laugh rather than just pull a silly face which is what I normally do. He's a generous actor and taught me a few lethal moves so watch what you say."
Coogan had just taken a quick break from filming Around The World In 80 Days to visit Cannes with co-stars Chan and Belgian actress Cecile de France (pictured).
"I flew in from Manchester this morning so it was a bit of a cultural change. I'm going back to night, I'd love to hang around and party but I have to work tomorrow. We're going to shoot some scenes with the wonderful Jim Broadbent, who is playing Lord Kelvin. We've already shot a couple of scenes with him. He's a fantastic actor and I'm very excited about that."
