| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |

| This was the best zombie movie ever made to date. Let's see here - finally some "living dead" that can actually chase their victims by running, not these boring, lack-luster zombies that can't even hardly walk. Now, I am a fan of the original movie, but this one killed it. The filmakers weren't afraid to do what they wanted to do. They delivered. My God, the start of the movie alone was more than enough to hook you. The action started from the outset. And, the tension in this movie is felt right away. It feels as if the bomb is waiting to drop on you. This zombie movie seemed real....it pulled you in. The characters were more believable, and the situation was authentically nerve-wracking. I was stunned by this movie....overwhelmed. I don't think it could have been much better. Oh, yeah, it wasn't an exact duplicate of the original...no, no. But, look at it this way: the original Dawn of the Dead was already made once. You can buy it on DVD and VHS. Why do you want to go to the theatre and watch the exact same movie with different actors. If you set out to remake something, then remake it. That's what they did. And, they did a damned good job. My hat is off to the Dawn of the Dead cast and crew. |
