'Dawn' to Feature a Campy Vibe

SUBMITTED BY Zombie!!

November 6, 2002 — According To Aint it Cool News, Harry Knowles talked to Roger Avery (director of the film Killing Zoe) about how much he wants to direct The "Dawn of the Dead" remake. Being a tremendous fan of the original, he was mortified upon reading the new script and realized that it needed big changes. He thought at length how he could direct the movie. So he set up a meeting with Strike Entertainment and told them how he felt about the latest draft. The Executives at Strike reportedly liked James Gunn's script, and wanted to sign a Director who could mimic the vibe of Steven Sommer's 'Mummy' remake. Hit the link below for the full article!
