Nice to hear from you again Sir!
Stockport,Cheshire ,England.I'd either get to Edward Sreet Police Station or the Territorial Army Barracks ,just up the road ,on Greek Sreet,now that is seriosly fortified!5 metre brick wall topped with barbed wire and a commanding view of the town!Kings and Cheshire Regiments machine Gun Company is based there so plentyof firepower available from the old 7.62 mmGPMG!/and SA80 5.56mm!
THere are some old air raid shelters from WW11 further down town, but their is only one entance/exit there,too dangerous!
Rural Cheshire and Lancashire would be the safest bets.I've visited an old Nuclear Defence Bunker(Ministry of Defence),.near Knutsford,Cheshire.Its in the middle of no where,and goes down 3 levels,has its own BBC broadcasting studio,radar and telecommunications e.t.c.Its declassified at the moment ,but couldbe remobilised in time of emergency.
Only a few chosen would make it there thogh as our "A"Road system would soon be swamped with panicked refugees!
Best idea in U.K ,fortify your own home to best of ability and try and sweat it out,perhaps form an armed street collective with the neighbours.I don,t know.I don,t think there would be very many people left alive in Greater Manchester though given the premise at the start of the latest"Dawn"!

I Know what your saying about zombie numbers.Its a good point,but remember, there is 60 million of us Britons living in an Island Nation the size of,say,Alabama.Whhere would we go?.Best option,stay at home and fight 'em off best as we can with our cricket bats, croquet malletts and hedge trimmers!Your right though,"J"Division of Stockport Police would soon be overrun at Edward Street.I'm sure there are weapons kept there though plus an SO19 deatachment(like your SWAT).The surviving officers could comandeer these weapons then leg it to Greek Street in there Ford Transits!

Haha sorry dude, I think I got the gun shop from where you said something about Machine Guns. I was really tired yesterday, I had just gotten back from a canoe trip on the Deleware River with my dad. We did the whole thing, it was great.
Anyway, with what you said, about the numbers and all, I guess you're right about staying in your house. Maybe (if you have a second floor) get up to that floor, and take down the stairs. That way, the zombies would have one helluva hard time reaching you. You'd just have to stick it out 'till I come to rescue you. Mates help mates, ya know

Here's the plan bro....
When the crack heads attack, get your friends into your place and take ou the stairs. Arm yourself with weapons, and about a weeks worth of food, water, and ammunition.
While you are doing that I will secure the perimite of my house, and the immediate surrounding house. I will make several foot high walls and top them off with a metal wire fence, and a landing pad, of course.
When completed I will chok up on the ammo and fuel. I'll pilot an apache, while my right hand man Skelly takes a Blackhawk.
When we reach England we will rescue yourself and your mates. Since there will most likely be a considerably large amound of zombies surrounding your hideaway I will use the advanced weapons on my Apache to blow 'em all to hell.
Once completed we will start back on a flight to good ole, expensive, NJ, while blasting Scat Man and various songs by the Drop Kick Murphys.
After several hours we will reach the hideaway where we will live out the horror of hte living dead. And dispache several hundred enemies a day.
Good plan?
Oh, and the liqiuor. We'll get tons of english liqiuor.

As for me, assuming I had any time to think about it before disaster and chaos struck....I'd have to think about getting somewhere with very little access to the outside and access to provisions to last me through the disaster. My whole town only has about 30,000 people, so we don't have a great deal to choose from. Our mall is only one story, and doesn't have a food court, so that's not such a good bet. Walmart would be great, except that I don't think it's able to be fortified. And if it's breached, there's nowhere else to go within the store.
We've got a food warehouse that sells foodstuffs to restaurants. Most is frozen, but lots of non-perishables, too. As far as I know, the only entrances are the truck loading docks, which can be closed securely, and the front door, which could be locked and have a display shelf dragged in front of it. Still one story, though.... and no weaponry...
In a larger city, the inner city might be a great place to be, since they often have bars on the windows for security. Find a nice 2 story grocery store next door to a gun shop...
An interesting question. I'll think more on this and get back to you.

The Dead rise,all major cities and towns are overthrown.Ska Boy and his good friend Skelly(who happen to be based in the U.K)are trapped in England when the outbreak occurs.They commandeer U.S helicopters fromR.A.F.Mildenhall an d fly to there old palEnglish Ds house in Stockport,where he is stranded on the roo f with some colleagues and friends.The Zombies attack,we counterattack, despite inflicting devestating losses on the Zombies,all English D's compatriots are eaten.(we forgot to take down the stairs)!
English.D salvages his gear and weapons(ordnance commandeered from theTAVR at Greek Street)and escapes in Skells BlackHawk,withSkaBoy as escort in the ApacheAH-64.
The United Kingdom is overrun,all major cities and towns are no go areas.
We manage to hitch a lift on the helicopter carrier H.M.S Ocean and whats left of the Royal Marines (3 Commando Brigade)give us an escort to Ascenscion Island where we re fuel and get on a U.S Coastguard Ship on its way to the East Coast of the United States.The ship is diverted and we make our way to Chatanooga picking up Terran in an abandoned Walmart.Stocking up on guns and supplies we seek sanctuary at SkaBoys refuge in BelFord

Sounds good. Better make room though because i did some checking last night and there are at least 7 gunshops within a 7 mile radius of that walmart so i'll be raiding them all in turn before you get there. Then there are the other 5 stores right next door to the walmart with computers and all that which will probably come in handy at some point or another. I'll also be raiding the blockbuster next door for entertainment so nobody goes crazy.

Terran, you are now the platoon leader. It's your job to make sure every one of our soldiers is trained, prepared, and doing their job.

After completeing a raid of all stores surrounding Terran's Wal Mart, the fully loaded choppers take off once again, heading on a half day trip to NJ.
The site on the way is a horrific one. The world has fallen into doom, parrel. Hordes of zombies surround any place with suspected survivors.
One building in particular caught Purdy's eye while they were over Wisconsin. It appeared to be a mall, with seven or eight survivors on top. The words "Alive inside" and "SOS" were scattered across the roof.
"Should we stop and pick 'em up?" Skelly asked over the radio.
"Not enough fuel." Purdy replied.
"Lets wish them luck." D. said reluctantly over the radio.
The helicopters have now landed in the stronhold. A tower has been erected in each corner of the compound, topped with two fully automatic M60 machine guns each.
Purdy, Skelly, D., and Terran are so far the only survivors in the stronghold. They devise a plan to retrieve tanks and humvees from a nearby Navy base, "Earl".
They decide to wait for more survivors to show up.
They need a larger force to be able to safely obtain the needed supplies. IN the mean time, they slowly shoot away at the ever growing army of zombies surrounding their stronghold, while they wait for more survivors to arrive......
Note: Only English D. and myself are actually allowed to write the story. Anyone else can write notes saying anything they would like in the story. This will lead to less confusion and more correlation.

6 hours have passed since last episode.
Terran has taken up a posistion with his L96A1Sniper rifle and is taking out key targets approaching our posistion.The choppers are landed and secure and Purdy and Skelly are blazing away at the hordes with the M60'S in the towers
English D is on his Clansman Radio(Ancient British Army radio)salvaged from Greek Street T.A barracks,trying to get contact with Dwayne Hicks ,aformer USCM member but all hes getting is static
"Come on Goddammit ,some one answer me!"Yells E.d into his head set.He tries Flash Crimson .but a serious soundingvoice replies"Officer dead,post abandoned"
"Pass me another beltSkaBoy"yells Skelly to Purdy,his barrell overheating.
"Sorry man,thats it"replies Mr P
E.D throws up his GPMG and 2 belts of 7.62
"Give ,em some of that Skelly!"E.D shouts
as he salvages a crate of M40 fragmentation grenades from theBlackHawk and dish es them out betwween Purdy and Terran who start throwing them into the horde below
"Its no good Purdy"Shouts English.D
"You and Terran are going to have to sneak out the back,get to Earl while we hold off the horde,at the moment I,m the only one trained in this ancient radio system,I,ll keep trying to raise someone!Hurry Man,were running out of Ammo!"
Purdy and Terran sneak out of back gates with as much ammo and grenades as they can carry.
"This is it Terran" says Purdy darkly,
"Its down to you and me to save this outfit,are you with me?
"All the way Sir"replies Terran.
The 2 heavily laden men set off down the path,each taking a flank
"I hope they make it Skell,or none of us will ever play the violin again"
says English.D taking a pensive puff on his pipe...."Lets hope Wolverine and Mr Happy and Hicks and his hardware respond soon!"
Skell puts the last remaining belt of ammo into the GPMG ,cocks it and spits,
" English .D ,Everybody dies"
