A repost to get rid of some Kim Wilson posts...

Now that we're finally at the point where Draco can do more than sneer at Harry, I hope they can give him some serious screen time, and deepen the character. Otherwise the bad boy is going to be pretty uninteresting for the rest of the movie series.

The difficulty is that we've seen so little of Draco in the last few films, we don't really know if Fenton can pull off the conflicted character from the books.

Screen time gets to be a premium with all the characters we're now invested in from prior films. Since he's not Slughorn's favorite, there's little chance to do more with him then, and he rarely gets a stand-alone scene with no Harry in it. That's the only way they'd be able to give him time to truly plot his, er failure in Book 6.

We did get a nice shot of him agonizing in the mirror, presumably over the whole thing...I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Thoughts?

Draco i thought got a good amount of screen time being Harry's rival. He actually gets a lot less attention in the 6th book, because his whole attitude has changed and he is looking to avoid attention. Harry is the only person who pays attention to Draco in the book since he is the only one who figured out what Draco has become.
judging from the recent trailers I would say that Draco gets some alone shots on screen, because he has become important now.

I think it's important that he doesn't have too much screen time for the purpose of the ending.

I'm confident he'll pull it off because he performed well in the early films when other young actors wer terrible.
