Yeah I started coming here back at the end of the PoA boards and beginning of GoF boards and it's just not the same as it was. Harry Potter posts were ALWAYS on the main page back then. Sadly not so much anymore. I guess we're all older and busier now huh?

It doesn't help that all the books are out now. I found that the bulk of the HP discussions focused on the books rather than the movies. At least when I was posting here.

I agree entirely. The fact that the books are all out now definately are a factor as to why the boards are slower now. I mean (in terms of Harry Potter new anyway) what are we gonna talk about here? What scenes are cut? No more speculation to be had and it makes me sad (that rhymed!). Oh well, I was never a fan of the PAY anyway. Just never got into it. I felt it was a post count increase skam anyway, which I've never cared about doing anyway. I have less than 500 on this account (I think I was around that on my old one too) and people know who I am just fine I feel.

How bout this? Did anyone read Beedle the Bard?

Read it. Good enough for a fun read, but it didn't really add much to the mythology of the wizarding world. I didn't find the stories very compelling, or explain why certain wizards grow up with certain beliefs.

The book was released after the books were finished, so it really didn't get woven into the stories except at the end when Dumbledore uses the book as a message drop.

I really like Beedle the Bard. It did give us a few new snippets of Wizarding World lore. I was particularly pleased Jo told us what a Warlock is, i'd wondered about that for ages.
