i also posted this on the book 7 board, but i'm posting here since many of you are here for now:

there are rumors that parts of the book have been "stolen" "nabbed" "photographed" etc.

please be aware that if you are going to post ANY OF THE SPOILERS, that you DEFINITELY do so at your own risk, and face the wrath of dumbledore's army, the order of the phoenix, and the mod squad. oh and of course, the wrath of bloomsbury who have threatened massive lawsuits.

any spoilers posted as the THREAD TITLE will be DELETED. all spoilers MUST be posted in the text of the post, and MUST use spoiler tags. and you'll get an email with a primer on how to post spoilers, and an assignment for lines with umbridge's quill.

and believe me, i'm trying to stay spoiler free, so if i'm here editing your posts to insert spoiler tags, i will not be a happy mod.

ya, people have scanned the pages and put them online, but they seem to be fake because they have incorrect page numbers, so take everthing with a grain of salt!

the latest news i have is that the photo site that it was shared on (i can't find the article again, darnit!) which i think was photobucket, has been supoenaed to turn over the user who posted it on their account.

the user has since been banned and all images taken offline. (of photobucket.)

i'm treating this seriously, because you just never know. i can't believe a book "fell off" and someone just picked it up and started snapping away. at least they're smarter than trying to sell it - that would DEFINITELY would have had some suited men knocking at your door.

i'd say... don't download it. remember what the RIAA did to individual users who downloaded movies and music off the internet... punished the downloaders.

ya, its ridiculous to think that anyone really could have gotten their hands on the book before friday, and I think its horrible that people would just try and ruin it for other people

Well the so-called "spoilers" from the "leaked" book could be eith fake or real. This is just a theory, but WHAT IF this is all a hoax and just a marketing plan to get people to stop searching up "deathly hallows", "Possible theories", "Harry Potter Book 7 "Spoilers"?", etc. to get people hyped up and ignore certain fake "facts" and get people to wait til Saturday to ACTUALLY read the REAL copy instead of a "fake" one?

Just a thought.

I'D BE OUTRAGED. i am outraged. why? because the NY times and the baltimore sun are real newspapers, and the NY times guy put in SPOILERS!
