the movie is good... but poor book adaptation... i prefer the past director who have done a good job(although there's a lot of cut)on the previous harry potter movies.. im with my boyfriend when we watch the movie and he was so disappointed of many changes that the new director's did.. and for sure to others who have watched the movie (esp. harry potter fanatics) probably felt disappointed too... Sigh*

not necessarily. I have read all of the books multiple times, and I think that this film has been by far the best one. As for being a bad adaptation, I'm going to have to disagree, and I think that GOF has been the least faithful adaptation so far. Sure a lot was cut from both, but OOTP made it work, and the things that they cut make sense. GOF was far too rushed (especially the beginning), and they had changed just too much (fleur is a veela, the third task, etc...) to be considered, in my opinion, to be the best adaption, which POA still holds.

as if you think that was the best adaptation!!!! my friends and family are highly annoyed at me since thursday when i saw the film because of the immence amount that they missed out!! for one where was the quiddich!! i mean it was a major part of the book the whole song about ron and harry fred and georges brooms been taken by umbridge!! hmpf! and fred and george leaving they didnt even touch on the fact that they got the money from harry to set up their own shop, when they left that made me laugh when i was reading however it was just boring!
and what upset me the most was the fact that they didnt build harry and sirius bond up enough so that when he died it wasnt emotional at all! and the scenes in the minestry seemed rushed and dull
oh and they missed out the whole part about rita skeeta and luna writing the article for the quibbler and harry leaving cho on valintines day
AND!! what about percy not talking to the family any more?? and their visit to st mungos when they saw lockheart and nevils parents and yet again they used nevil instead of dobby which dissappointed me
also there was no ghosts and i dont think lupin had a single line in the whole thing and they didnt show enough of any of the new character (tonks and luna) to understand there rolls in the movie

as you may be able to tell i am really annoyed and i think anybody that thinks the movie was good obviously hasnt read the book! fair enough they needed to condence the book to fit it in however i feel they spent time on things that had nothing to do with the essence of the book when the time could have been better spent making the film and book more alike!

There's only so much that could be in the movie consider OOTP is the longest book so i really wasnt that dissapointed...But i do hope that the last 2 movies are really long! like the first 2 were....That would be nice...

i totally agree with you leigh... well although i haven't read the book, i can see it from my boyfriend's expression that he was really not happy with it although they'd put good movie effects on it. the point is, why are they trying to change the story on the book which is so good enough for harry potter fans. and i wonder what j.k. Rowling can say about the film now that she saw that the movie changed her storY..

I liked this one. It should have been longer, but it was still well done. It was a good adaptation. It just went too fast.
