no problem I made that mistake and I have to somehow sell it and get a 2-disk version
I made this mistake too. Luckily, I was still able to exchange it even after opening it. Must have had a sympathetic salesperson.
Do you still have your receipt? Try exchanging it anyway, and argue that you are technically exchanging it for the same movie. The lady who assured the service desk dude that this exchange was ok, told him "It's the same movie. Even if she *did* copy it, she's still only taking home the same movie again." (Yes, I had to pay the price difference.)
