I saw the trailor for this movie when I went to see The Ring, and I have to say, the first thing I thought after the trailor was done was; "holy crap, this is such propaganda". This movie comes out next month, but there hasn't been a countdown for it since recently. That tell's me that this movie was rushly made because George Bush needs to lure young people into the idea of war. With young people kicking terrorist bum with cool music, snowboards, and looking good tabut. Long story short; glorifying the war George Bush want's to create so there will hopefully be little resistence from the young mass. Hopefully if doesn't work, hopefully were smarter than that. Throught this troubled time we must remember the 60's and know that we can make a stand, and spit in veto's face while we're at it.
Say what you think, is this movie propaganda, or is it just good fun and what are the chances of you seeing it.
"There ought to be limits to freedom" -- George W. Bush II

First of all, this story should never have left the person who thought it up's head. The whole idea behind the movie is stupid. A bounch of snowboarders coincidentally run into a group of terrorists up on some giant mountain. RIGHHHHT!!! While they're at it do you think that perhaps they'll run into some abominable snowmen??? That'd be sweet (Not really..)! Essentially the movie will basically show the "extreme sports fans" doing nice little tricks and so forth when all of a sudden they discover they're surrounded by a giant force of international terrorists who have tons of millitary hardware and have evil, evil intentions. Now the movie will most likely end with the terrorists expending thousands of bullets and rockets trying to 'silence' the "sports fans", but OH NO! the snowboarders get away safely! And the bad guys either die or are arrested!! w00t w00t
Yeah, sounds like a good movie. Maybe if your around the age of eight - ten years old it may sound appealing.
Now, lets talk a bit about propaganda. Propaganda is information that is spread for the purpose of promoting some cause. Essentially what you are saying Inuyasha1614 is that the United States government is either funding this movie or wrote the script for this movie, OR BOTH. Now, do you really think this is true? Of course it's not true.
Issue #3 - "glorifying the war George Bush want's to create so there will hopefully be little resistence from the young mass"
Right, obviously if you have any common sense what-so-ever you would realize that in this world, there are leaders of countries who simply dont give a sh*t about anything and will do what they want. I assume by your comment about getting less resistance for a possible "conflict" you are thinking of Iraq. Now, Iraq is an problem. As much as people like yourself do not wish to realize, Iraq has been doing very bad things. The first time we had to roll in the mud with Iraq, they cried mercy and accepted the U.N.'s terms. Those terms have never been followed by Iraq. Political negotiations have not worked. When negotiations do not work, you have to use something that WILL work - THE THREAT OF FORCE. Iraq must not be allowed to produce weapons that are banned by international law. The reasons for this is very simple. Iraq has NO reason to like the US. If Iraq decides to help out people who do not like the US by giving them internationally banned weapons (bio/chem/nuclear), they would be able to use those against our country. Is this a good thing? - Hell no. Should we work to keep this from happening? - Hell yes. How do we do it? - Iraq does not wish to relinquish it's weapons. Negotiations are trying to find a non-violent way to accomplish this. What if the negotiations fail? - Then we must personally make sure that Iraq will cooperate (under any means necessary).
Wow after typing all this I realize that it's all worthless, because you probably cant even fathom this being true.
Oh well, go have fun watching your movie made for kids under the age of ten.
