The Unknown Jedi said: How about these matches, who would win?
Namor vs The Hulk
Namor vs Spiderman
Namor vs Batman
Namor vs Superman
Ok, I normally don't go in for these sort of polls, but I'll bite when it comes to THIS one! Let's see:
v Batman....... no contest, Namor destroys The Bat
v Hulk........ Throughout the years, these 2 have gone at it, and have also been friends....... Namor has been able to hold his own against Hulk, but in the end, it's NO CONTEST....... Hulk comes out on top.
v. Superman........... C'mon, dude, it's SUPERMAN for God's sake! Supe's by a country mile!
v. Spiderman......... He's fought against Spidey in the past, but they've teamed up for the good cause more times than they've squared off, so this one's sort of a draw....... but I'd put my money on Sub-Mariner on this one.
If people have ever read that book about the Marvel Universe, Namor is ranked very high in the Universe standings as far as strength, agility, and endurance go. He's ranked right up there in the strength department with such notables AS Thor, Spider-Man, The Thing (who Namor HAS fought and defeated in the past). I know this character is NOT on many people's list of things to do, read, or go to the movies about anymore, but all I'm saying is..........give the creation of Bill Everett SOME credit............ huh??! |

He's actually been deceased for about 30 years. But, all sarcasm aside, he was an extremely respected comic artist who the record shows was one of the driving forces behind Marvel becoming what it wound up becoming.
Oh yeah, Marvel's success didn't have anything to do with Stan Lee's writing, Kirby, Ditko and Romita Sr.'s art.
All they did was create the Fantastic Fout, the X-Men, Hulk, Spiderman, the Avengers and Dr. Strange. But this guy created Namor, who has never been able to keep a solo book going for longer than 5 years. February 3, 1959

Yea LS does have a really good point I hadn't even heard of Everett until you mentioned him and when it comes to making Marvel what it is today *TURNS EXTREME MAJOR SARCASM ON* Bill Everett improved Marvel more than Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, and John Romita Sr. combined yea those guys if anything worsened Marvel.
