I love The Rock. I think hes great. Hes definitely on his way to becoming the decades biggest action stars, no buts about it. Hes got charisma and best of all; hes quite a boffin when it comes to a bit of smash and bash. And lets not forget - nice guy: terribly gracious interview subject indeed.

But this bit of news, from Dark Horizons, sounds like an odd move on the "Walking Tall" star's behalf. Universal have the big guy and we mean big, how they heck hes going to make him look like anything other than The Scorpion King with a pitchfork is beyond me- lined up to star in the next big comic to film Sub Mariner. Hey, a its better plucking than Chopper as Bruce Banner, but still, Sub Mariner looks more like a third-cousin of Leonard Nimoys than Dwayne Johnson. Still. He the man.

For those whove never picked up the comic, it tells the tale of Namor, a hero endowed with super strength and endurance, telepathic power over sea creatures, the ability to breathe both in and out of water and the power of flight, via small wings on his ankles. Among his skirmishes: a battle with the Allies in both the Atlantic and Pacific during World War II.

The Rock whos apparently also signed for a flick called Species Human - could look enough like Namor. That can be done. Heck, Namors no Peter Parker, he is a built guy so maybe The Rock is the best guy for the gig?.

Going into Spy Hunter though, youd think that Dwayne would be a little hesitant to jump on board too many prospective franchises. Still, money does the talking in this business, and I guess all actors have to keep their options again. And hey, Ill be front, row, centre to watch Sr.eyebrows in anything. Going to be interesting to see his hairline and eyebrows tweaked though.

The script for Sub Mariner is apparently done, Kevin Misher is executive producing the film.

by the way, I'm retarded.

I always imagined Namor to be played by Hugo Weaving. You know....elrond from the lord of the rings trilogy! Ok...ok...try this one he played agent smith as well in the matrix trilogy. He has the face, and he has the moves, look how he busted in the matrix fight scenes. So what if he is'nt that buff, neither was cyclops or superman. He has the face and the eyebrows and voice. I am right and there is not a greater actor to play him!

The guy from Lord of the Rings is a great choice. He has the rightbody style. he has a swimmer's body rather than a weight lifter's body.

Plus, he isn't the Rock.

So....... are you saying this is a done deal? I have read that The Rock is attached to the project, but that dosen't mean that he's actually signed on the dotted line to star in this. Is this completely confirmed, because I think that you might be jumping the gun on this a little bit, Panther.
