Namor is one of the strongest dudes in the Marvel Universe. At full strength he may even be as strong as The Thing! Now how on earth are they going to get the goober from Raising Arizona to beef up THAT much? Nick Cage is cool...... I wasn't the least bit opposed to him doing Ghost Rider, but I just don't think he looks the part of Namor at all. LDPmight be good. And he is usually kind of buff..... but look at the picture up there..... Ol' Namor has always looked like some kind of meat headed beefcake. And logically... a guy that lives at the bottom of the freaking ocean would probably be kind of pumped from living with all that pressure. So whoever they get it should be someone who is pretty built. I have noticed that Nick Cage has shown interest ina LOT of Marvel comics - based roles lately. I think he's just a marvel fan that wants a piece of the action... and I don't blame him! I can't remember being able to find one on Cage, and he's aesthetically displeasing, to boot. Cage does not have the body. He couldn't get it at an eBay auction. He also doesn't appear the least bit regal. I don't see the intelligence in trying to make him a superhero. I do NOT want to see Cage in tights or green speedos! I want a good-looking actor with a great build. Let Cage run off and play the Molecule Man, or even the Beyonder (I'll even give him Flash, but a real superhero in the Marvel Universe? PLEASE!). He definitely should not attempt to be Superman, and definitely not a man who swims as his major form of locomotion and can withstand sea depths that would crush humans. Next, they'll want to cast Allison Hannigan as She-Hulk. Or Orlando Bloom as the Blob. Come to think of it, Orlando might make a good Cannonball...but it will never happen. A big name does not a perfect casting job make. Now, if they want to smell what The Rock is cooking, I'll be ok with that. Sure, Namor is supposed to be pink (or at the very least, not blue), but I can cope, really.
