Do we want a SILVER SURFER movie? I still haven't seen the FANTASTIC FOUR sequel but I've heard universally poor reviews. Still, even if I had hated X3 (which I didn't) I'd still be looking forward to the WOLVERINE movie (which I am). Similarly, a brand new movie, under brand new direction offers brand new possibilities for the Surfer, so I'm totally on board. Especially when the director apparently being tapped for the project is Alex Proyas (DARK CITY).

Here's the description of the Surfer's story, from Wikipedia:

Norrin Radd was a young astronomer of the planet Zenn-La. In order to save his homeworld from destruction by a fearsome cosmic entity known as Galactus, Norrin made a bargain with the being, pledging himself to serve as its herald. Imbued in return with a small portion of Galactus' Power Cosmic, Norrin acquired great powers, and a silvery appearance. He created for himself a surfboard-like craft modeled after a childhood fantasy of his on which he would travel at speeds beyond that of light. Known from then on as the Silver Surfer, Norrin began to roam the cosmos searching for new planets for Galactus to consume. When his travels finally took him to Earth, the Surfer came face-to-face with the Fantastic Four, a team of powerful superheroes that helped him to rediscover his nobility of spirit. Betraying Galactus, the Surfer saved Earth but was punished in return with everlasting exile there.

No. I can't believe I am saying this, because I was all about this movie for years but after FF2 I just don't think it's a good idea.

2 hours of watching Jessica Alba again. Hell, Yeah, I keep her picture where it matters most. Right in my pocket. The plot looks real nice.

To the Governor of California, The Termin8or, tell him Im putting his picture on my wall until I get an apology. U must understand that Jesse Ventura (MN Governor) and The Predator(My character) we're killed in the first Predator movie. Some Vendetta's die hard, but I want to live free. If knot, well then, Im going to go Kali and raise he'll.
LOL. Terminator Vs. Predator.

Alex Proyas?

Alex Proyas is a great director and Dark City was a great movie but I believe he's too good of a director to do a Silver Surfer movie. I believe he's perfect to do dark comic books films like Blade, Spawn, Werewolf by Night, The Punisher, or Ghost Rider.

Never heard of this director. At this point after the FF2 thing i'll be on board if he plans on adding galactus to the film. Not that me being on board or not will effect the film but I still haven't seen FF2 yet and the nearest theater only has one show time left. whatever they do i'll most likely buy the DVD anyway. I buy almost all comic book movies good or crappy.

Silver Surfer, huh? That'd be an interesting narrative.

"I seek faith in the unfaithful just as you seek peace and atonement in a war-torn world."

"The common wit is not fair to middling."

"Laugh at me all you want, one day you'll all be kissing my feet."

"Young age is no excuse for poor taste."

"To be a prep is to be blissfully unaware of one's own mediocrity."
