I just looked at The Punisher Archives and they had a rumor that Tom Jane was in Spider-Man 2 and had screenshots. Well I put the DVD in and went to the scene where Mary Jane is running from her wedding and past the fountain and Tom Jane is behind her all dressed in black looking at the camera. And if that's not him then that's a damn good look alike.
You're going to have to goto the link above because the picture only shows Mary Jane when I put it on here.
"In avenging my family, I've found a new purpose. I'm coming. All of you out there, I'm coming. Those who do evil to others - the killers, the rapists, psychos, sadists - take heed. You will come to know me well. But don't make the same mistake Sandoval did. Don't call me Castle. Frank Castle is dead. Call me the Punisher."
It's not him. It doesn't even look like him. He never said it was him. They can't have him being in that movie as the Punisher because Sony doesn't own the rights to the Punisher. LionsGate owns the Punisher.
My problem with that picture is that Jane has cheek bones and the other guy does not, this guy's ears are too high, and the other guy's shin putrudes way to much.
And of course Wizard is known for reporting crap at times. Tom Jane doesn't even really like Superhero charcters or movies. Not really I mean. And wouldn't he had been in Africa shtooing Stander and in Tampa shtooing the Punisher when they were doing Spider-Man 2?????
Yea i seen that too. Its him for sure, u have too look really closely on the right side of the screen. So what if sony owns the right to the punisher, he isnt wearing the logo, just black clothes. Its pretty sweet if more superheroes made a small cameo in super hero movies. Just to show that they all are in new york and actually did walk by another hero.
The Spider-Man 2 trivia at IMBD.com says that it's not him or the Punisher.
Toward the end of the movie, it was rumored that the Punisher was noticeable. This turned out to be false and is only someone who resembled Thomas Jane. This is purely coincidental. He was never intended by the makers to be the Punisher.

But you people need to understand something.
LionGates owns the Punisher... not Sony. If they say it is him then LionGates will "SUE". This is how things work in the movie business.
Some people have said that they would like to see the Punisher fight the Kingpin. But they know that can't happen because Lionsgate doesn't own the rights to that character. It's the same thing here. If you were to ask... well why hasn't there been any other appearances of other Marvel characters in other Marvel movies... it's because they're under different movie studio licenses.
It's somewhat the same thing as in video games. But in Marvel video games they can only say the Punisher's name and show the skull but they can't have the character appear and be playable. Now the Punisher was in the 2000 Spider-Man video game for the PS1. But that was before THQ got the rights to the Punisher. After that only THQ can have the Punisher in their games.
Many magazines in which they have interviews with actors have reported crap many times to the point where half of the interview is made-up and Wizard magazine is no different. And people on the web make things up all the time.
Tom never said it was him. Jane has cheek bones... the other guy does NOT, this guy's ears are too HIGH, and this guy's shin PUTRUDES way to much.
The timeline in which the Spider-Man 2 film were shooting and where Tom Jane was during 2003 and 2004 (shooting DreamCatcher in 2002 and into 2003, right after that in 2003 he was shooting Stander in South Africa, and after that he was training for the Punisher for 6 or 7 months and then shooting the Punisher film in Tampa).
Tom has said that he doesn't like Superhero movies. That's why he said no to a role in the first X-Men movie and a few others. He doesn't want to be in them because he doesn't like them. So it wouldn't make any sense at all for him doing that.
It's Tom McComas, Tom Jane's stunt double. Stunt "doubles" look like the people there doubling for.
