The Punisher rocked, kicked ass, and took names. Possibly one of the greatest vigiliante movies and one of the greatest comic book movies ever.

Punisher was great. It was a thinking man's Death Wish. Punisher was #1 in Video/DVD sales/rentals. Knocking down Passion of Christ to second. Wish Punisher could stay up there in the #1 spot alittle longer. But Star Wars triology finally on DVD is going to take the spot I just know it. [SPOILER] by the way I love the torture scene in Punisher. Classic. LOL [/SPOILER]

Look guys, I don't see what is good in this movie apart from the Frank vs Russian fight. It didn't have the same dark depressin' comic book feel, which it should have.

This is a "MOVIE" not a "COMIC BOOK" can't stand people wingin on about the comic books no one bothers that James Bond is different from the books.

its not that its a terrible movie.
i was majorly disappointed for 2 reasons.........


it was too much mental punishement on saints and his crew.

we were expecting kick ass gory punishement style that we all know and love.

he's not a therapist. why attack the mind?

and when he was supposed to get vengance on saint, the whole thing just happened too quickly. no real challenge. he stormed and took out everything in seconds.

a decent final showdown was necessary. we didnt have that.

2ndly, it didnt blow the 89 version out of the water.
it was better and everything, but not THAT much better.

forget that its a comic book character.

the name of the movie is "The Punisher" not "The Therapist".

thats what i didnt like. i didnt get what i was expecting. i was disappointed.

surely im not the only 1.

i loved that last action scene...i loved the fact that he blew the hell out of them and came in and picked them all off quickly

it was more realistic then if he ran in and started shooting everyone while everyone coincidentally missed him

I just wished there were more scenes like that in the movie and not one scene of him doing what he does best

I liked The Punisher it was good , but it can never beat Spider-man 2 .

Just saw it yesterday thought it was quite good. Was wanting a more "Commando" style ending for some reason. Film did trick me Half way threw I thought, this is so bland were's all this violence but the end, jeese seeing John travolta being dragged threw a burning carpark and catching fire. Those flatmates were the onlything that annoyed me.

8 outta 10.

I think the similarities between the comic and the movie is very important, or else the movie has lost all of the characters meaning. This movie didn't deserve the name "The Punisher", the only thing that connects the movie to the comics is the character names and the skull.

are you kidding? there where sence in the movie that where taken right out of the comic...yeh they had to change a few things because jane is a lot younger then frank is

well the commando thing i would of liked to see more of.

some kick ass physical action. not mental damage because going for the kill.

all the cool scenes that were there showed intense struggle.

thats what i wanted to see. vengence but with a struggle.

i didnt see a struggle.

the fight with the russian, awsome.
the way his family was killed, great too.

but the end was so low impact. although it looked nice, it didnt have the feel of the intensity "rambo" style that they wanted to do.

too psycological. not enough physical.

thats what disappointed me.

This does have one good thing, the sequal could blow us away like Rambo II or T2
