The Polar Express “Lovely Animation.” — peter_haase13 [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... I feel like a warm Christmassy good time. Movie Review: My thoughts on this movie... If I was still a kid, I would have really liked this movie and would quickly want it as soon as it was released in the shops. I'm not a kid though, and this film although it means well and yes its xmassy and everything, left me a bit cold. Because the animated characters look ALMOST real, they end up looking wierd (one girl in particular appears rather sinister), although otherwise the animation's lovely. However, rubbish Santa Claus, wise-guy elves and a rushed ending that explains nothing ruins the admittedly impressive sequences that took place on the actual journey on The Polar Express. As for Tom Hanks, I liked him as The Conductor, but he should have stopped there. DVD Review: N/A Thoughts on the DVD release of this movie... Nothing Entered Yet! Was this review any good?
