October 12, 2004 — Director Robert Zemeckis will be honored with a special ShowEast Career Achievement in Filmmaking Award at this month's annual exhibition/distribution convention in Orlando. The award will be presented on Oct. 26 at the House of Blues. Zemeckis' upcoming animated film "The Polar Express," starring the voice of Tom Hanks, will be screened at the AMC Pleasure Island Theatre Complex before dinner.
