WB is still in talks with the IMAX people about this, but it's another film that could get an IMAX release.

Austin, Txas will be one of the lucky ones to get this film in IMAX:
Here's the information from a news snippet from Austin 360:
The IMAX Theatre at the Bob Bullock museum is getting maxed out with new state-of-the-art projection equipment that will allow it to show film of all lengths, not just the short ones. The theater will be one of a few in the world with two Quick-Turn Reel Units, which it will inaugurate Nov. 10 with screenings of 'The Polar Express: An IMAX 3-D Experience,' the computer-animated Christmas tale directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Tom Hanks. It's the first Hollywood feature to be digitally remastered into 'an IMAX 3-D experience,' say the IMAX folks.
