February 10, 2003 — Premiere Magazine recently sat down with Diane Lane, who stars in the upcoming drama, Under the Tuscan Sun, set for release later this year. Heres a bit of what she had to say:
PREMIERE: What scene did you shoot today?
LANE: My character is taking a huge risk by going with this guy to an antique repair place for something for her house. She bumped into him in Rome and he said, Ill take you to my cousins place -- which turns out is in Positano! [Where the film takes place] Shes on the beach, meeting his family, and she doesnt speak Italian very well.
PREMIERE: Do you speak Italian?
LANE: I have certainly caught some -- I can pipe in and people laugh.
PREMIERE: So hows the weather in Positano?
I keep saying we might have to change the title of the movie, because the word sun is in it.
