December 2, 2002 — Scribe Steve Niles confirmed on the message board for his official site that the script for Spawn 2 he and Spawn creator Todd McFarlane wrote is being drastically retooled by another writer. Niles said, "We were pretty sure this was going to happen from the beginning. The script had some pretty big problems, anyway. The biggest being that Spawn never actually appeared in it!" But Niles is still confident that Spawn 2 could turn out a winner. "From what I hear, the script is in very good hands now and there's a great producer attached."
