With a production budget of $140mil, lessor known hero Iron Man has turned in major box office numbers. Dropping just 48% in it's second weekend the film pulled in another $50.5mil domestically. International numbers won't be available until tomorrow.

After only 10 days in release, it's garnered an unexpected $297mil worldwide breaking into the profit realm with force. Box Office Mojo link

This brings up the question fans have been asking for 2 years....What the hell happened with Superman??

Iron Man is simply more proof that the Man of Steel needs a reboot and you can make it happen. Join SaveSuperman.com and help restore truth and justice to Earth's greatest hero!!

You know I expected Iron Man to do well (which is deserves because it's fantastic), but I had fears that Iron Man, being lesser known than Spider-Man and others, wouldn't make as much as it deserved.

For once I'm glad to be proven wrong. Iron Man is kicking major ass, and I'm dying to see what the final tally will be.

Church: Tucker, I think he means a pacifier.

Tucker: Oh...yeah....right....man my mind was totally somewhere else.

Church:.....that's real classy Tucker.....

Hey Infamous, is the rumor about the Mandarin and Fin Fang Foom as the villains in Iron Man 2 true? This is what Cinema Blend said.

It's still just rumor. Mandarin and War Machine are both supposed to be part of the sequel but nothing has been set in stone. Downey Jr hasn't even been offered a contract for a second film yet.

Why the hell didnt the studio make him sign a 3 picture deal....all comic book movies nowadays revolve around a 3 pic deal contract it seems like?

The Dark Knight will probably out grossed Iron Man but they both will be badass films of the year. The Dark Knight in 1st place then Iron Man in second.
