What Characters Should Be In The Avengers Movie?

Ummm dude thats not The Avengers thats just some jumbled up group of superheroes the only way the movie will be good is if its:

Iron Man
Ant-Man
Vision
Thor

with them trying to get Hulk in lockdown

My ideal line up would be:

Iron Man
Captain America
Thor
Hulk
Giant Man
Nick Fury
Wasp
Hawkeye
Vision

and the villain would or should be Ultron. In the sequels they could bring in more members like Black Panther, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch.

You can't add the Vision to that roster. It would not make sense at all. You'd need to introduce some backstory about Wonder Man, Ultron and the original Torch.

Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Dr. Pym, Wasp and Carol Danvers. Danvers would be a great tie in for a Young X Men movie where Rogue FINALLY gets to absorb Danvers' powers. Maybe even add the Black Widow for that feel of a double crosser on the team.

What an incredibly appropriate question at this point. I think they should have Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Giant Man, & The Wasp. No Hulk, and definitely no Spider-Man

At this point I am only concerned about one thing.... that they have the character's powers right. With Marvel doing it I am sure we have nothing to worry about. But for Thor he MUST have class 100 strength, storm and lightening command, flight, everything. Captain America must be able to kick all kinds of butt even though he's just a man, and he always manages to recover that shield of his somehow.

I prefer a new lineup or like the lineup they had in the Secret Wars on Spider-Man The 90s Animated Series instead of the original lineup because I'm not really familiar with Thor, Ant-Man, Wasp or some of the others and I don't really know anything about their origins either. I never actually have read any of the Avengers comic books before.

This is the lineup I would love to see:

Captain America
Spider-Man
Iron Man
Wolverine
Human Torch (Johnny Storm)
Hulk

Nick Fury as an allied or something.

It's pretty similar to the Marvel Adventures: Avengers series except my lineup doesn't have Storm or Giant Girl in it.

If they were to make a trilogy, I think it should go like this.

1: Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Ant Man, and the hulk. Plus nick fury would be in it. Half way through the hulk would turn into an antagonist. And Loki as the villian

2: Captain America, Iron Man, Thor Luke Cage, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Hawkeye. Of course Nick Fury. With the bad guy being Magneto. I think it'd be a good way to bring in Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

3: Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Wolverine, Spiderman, and Luke Cage. I can't really think of a good villian. I was thinking maybe theyd fight off a skrull invasion or something. Not like secret invasion. Just a regular old invasion.

Well considering that they have Nick Fury being played by Sam Jackson it's pretty obvious they are going the ultimate Avengers mixed with the regular Avengers. I always did like the 1st story arc in Ultimate Avengers with the Hulk being the kinda sorta bad guy.
So my line up would be:

1. Captain America (no brainer)
2. Thor (another no brainer)
3. Iron Man (and another no brainer)
4. Hawkeye (just think how cool it would be to see his dead eye accuracy on the big screen)
5. Wasp or Black Widow (rather see black Widow mainly from an action standpoint)
6. Giant Man (although not one of my favorites but one of the originals)

But if they really wanna mix things up throw in the Sentry. They could be searching for him because of the Hulk because the Hulk is pretty much unstoppable. So they search for the Sentry to join and in the end it's a grand daddy smackdown between the Hulk and Sentry just like it should have been in World War Hulk.

HAve any of you guys read the Ultimates? Any one of those storylines would work also especaially Grand Theft America.

You want a grand daddy battle, but you pick sentry for the part? Mannnnnn do a little research, you put THOR up against the Hulk, now that would be a battle worth seeing. Plus it has two characters that most older comic book people will recognize as a fan favorite battle that has happened in the comics and be something those same readers would love to see on the big screen lol!!

Well, they've made it very obvious that at least Iron Man and Nick Fury are going to be involved.

After that, as long as Captain America and Thor are members of the team, I don't care who they throw in, although I will admit that I wouldn't mind seeing them put Hawkeye into the mix.

As for the Vision's backstory, it probably doesn't make any real difference. Origins can and HAVE been changed in the past. It's all a trick of making the SPIRIT of the story accurate. For example, Iron Man's story originally took place in the Vietnam War, not the Middle East. If they had kept the movie accurate to the original story, they would have had to have made Tony Stark about 70 years old.

They could STILL have Captain America be from WWII, as he was just in suspended animation in a block of ice.

My REAL interest is who the VILLAIN is going to be that they'll have to orchestrate all the Avengers. I don't think that an alien invasion from the Kree or Skrull would come off as being terribly realistic in a live-action movie.

If they ARE going to be intelligent and bring Thor into the mix, then my investment would be on a story similar to the Ultimates 2, having Loki orchestrate a European attack on the U.S., with the Red Skull (and hopefully Taskmaster) being involved.

I'd LIKE to see the Mandarin brought in to fight Iron Man, but I don't think that would fit in to well with a plausible story.

Tyler Mane actually would make a FANTASTIC Thor, now that I think about it, but I'd bet real money that it's not going to happen. Too many people would recognize him as Sabretooth.

We need wasp though to add more females plus her shrinking ability could provide for entertainment on screen

I agree it could be cool if the team was supposed to capture the Hulk for this movie, and it would be cool if the punisher makes a cameo even if it was in the shadows, and for just a second, Obviously not on the team either.
