Anticipation Level:
How excited (or not) I am to see this movie...
I don't know what type of drugs this reviewer was on but apparently the fact that the plot was incoherent and the writer neglected the ideas of continuity and making sense were irrelevant as to whether or not this was a good movie. Where should I start?
When John Connor first sees the Terminator (Arnold) he says "Are you going to kill me? Only a few moments later, despite the fact that he just made one assumption, he quickly assumes exactly the opposite, that Arnold is the same Terminator that helped them in T2. When he discovers Arnold is not, our genius friend says, "What, were you made on an assembly line or something? Despite the fact that it is a different Terminator and he doesn't know anything regarding the plot of the first two movies, for some unexplained reason he doesn't kill humans, but he's a Terminator! Later, the Terminator tells John Connor that in the future (date, time, everything) that he will kill him by manipulating the trust resulting from John's childhood experiences. So AFTER hearing this, and therefore knowing the date and time, our idiot friend still trusts him in the future? It doesn't make any sense! At one point in the movie John and his "future wife" are running towards and airplane and she says, "Don't worry, I learned this in my training." At what point in veterinarian school do they teach you to fly planes? I guess they also didn't feel that it was necessary to explain how, or why, Skynet was back, it was just kind of there. They also wrote off the entire point and philosophy behind the first two movies, fate is not set, youre in control of your own life and its direction, by basically just throwing out at the end, Oops! Fate is set - oh well, let's watch the world blow up.
I could go on for hours about the retarded gaps and inconsistencies in this movie, but let's leave it at the fact that if the scriptwriter had been finished preschool the movie may have turned out better. It had good special effects and the action was all right (even though it didn't make sense at times either), the poor plot ruined the movie. Terminator 2 was my favorite movie ever, after seeing this I must say, Terminator 3 is the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. If you haven't seen it yet it is not too late to save yourself, DO NOT go near the theatre.
