She mightn't be too keen on doing another "X-Men" movie (if there's even going to be one, now that Bryan Singer's left the building) but Halle Berry's up for another round of powerpacked puss Catwoman, she tells AZCentral.
If the first one does well-enough box-office wise (and we will get to that in a bit) Berry says she'll definitely be signing on to wear the leathers again. "You'd see Catwoman walking a little more on the darker side", in the sequel, says the actress.
Lets take a look at those B.O figures though. It's currently sitting 6th position on the charts and is down a whopping 60 plus percent. The weekend before last it generated an ok $16,728,411 million, but then last weekend it only pocketed $6,445,488. It's quite possible - going by those figures - that "Catwoman" is going to be out of the top ten next week. Considering it's marketing costs approximate to be about $35 million and it's only made just over $32 million, the potential franchise is definitely on shaky ground.
After her proposed 007 spin-off "Jinx" fell apart, "Catwoman" was obviously Halle's big hopeful, in terms of a prospective new film series she could headline. From the moment the project was announced though, deciding to distance itself from Batman's world etc, fans were pretty much up in arms.
Best case scenario : Warner forgets it ever happened, the character of 'Catwoman' is thrown into the mix of one of Chris Nolan's forthcoming new "Batman" adventures and everyone goes home happy - as long as a Pfeiffer-esque vixen's doing the tail wagging of course, and not a Berry-type dressed from head to toe like one of Fleiss's madams.
Next, Berry hopes to do a romantic comedy called "Nappily Ever After", about a woman who finds she must redefine herself among acquaintances after cutting her long hair into a tight afro. Sounds a little less ambitious, which is a good thing.
by the way, I'm retarded.
