A film Ive seen a hundred times before with an extra scene in the bath, wooow... Movie Review: My thoughts on this movie... This loses so much in this re-release. ET should not be CGI'd like he is here. Its obviously CGI whereas before it lokked real now it looks like a cartoon. But perhaps the worst tweak Speilberg has indulged in is the switch from FBI guys holding guns to FBI guys holding phones. PHONES! Well technically walkie-talkies but same thing. thats scary isnt it? They're going to phone him-nooooo. when I first saw the original version all those years ago, the only part of the film that I felt any suspense or a sense of threat was that scene. Now, sadly, that scene has been sugar-coated. DVD Review: Thoughts on the DVD release of this movie... Shelling out for a film they've seen a hundred times before. No thank you.
