E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial Deluxe Figure

SUBMITTED BY Fred Hill

March 15, 2002

You can get your very own E.T. from Toy "R" Us, with some extra toys for him as well.. E.T. signature finger lights up and he speaks a few lines from the movie. This toy is an exclusive to Toy "R" Us. They are priced at $12.99 at Amazon.com, buy it now by clicking the link below.

He's the star of the show, so you know he has to look good. Back to commemorate his 20th anniversary in action-figure form, this stranded alien botanist comes with loads of wrinkly detail, articulated arms and neck, and some bona fide E.T.-speak: get him near other E.T. figures and playsets, or just fidget with his arms and head, and you'll hear him say "I'll be back," "Be my friend?" and the classic "E.T. phone home," with a lit-up finger thrown in for dramatic flair. The little guy can also tug heartstrings with "E.T. loves you!" while raising his head and lighting up his red heart and yellow finger. The deluxe E.T. comes clad in Elliot's red sweatshirt jacket (with Velcro and a drawstring), and you even get a similarly scaled Speak 'N Spell, a recently rejuvenated pot of flowers, a bag of "candies" (not, curiously, Reese's Pieces), and the component parts of E.T.'s makeshift communicator. Requires three AG 13 batteries, included. --Paul Hughes
