You have got to be shitting me. If you want to see E.T. so bad, go rent the ****in video!!! This pisses me off!! They spend all of thsi time bringing back a 20 year old film to the theater and spend all of this money to advertise it, and even do an ABC special on it.
Don't get me wrong, I love E.T. and I think it is a great film. However, I think fans should boycott the film, and watch it bomb to prove a point. Spend time delivering new solid flicks, instead of re releasing old ones.
From what I can see, all that has changed is the soundtrack sounds better, E.T. is digitally enhanced, and there is a scene in the bathroom where E.T. pops his head out of the tub.
Instead of putting it out in theaters, why wouldn't they just bring it to DVD.
Everybody should boycott E.T.!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

hey at least I have got the balls to say what some people are thinking but are too afraid to say. You just proved my point with saying " With some of the crappy flicks that are out today...". That is why I am saying put some energy into putting out new quality movies, and spend less time and money on advertising older flicks.
They should have put out the 20th anniversary on DVD, not out to the movie theaters!!
By the way, what does the number of posts, or how long I have been posting have to do with what I am saying?? There could be someone on here that has been here for a year and have 5000 posts of nothing but crap. I at least stick with my opinion and speak my mind, and don't hide behind the pressure of others to say what they want to hear.
Come on, get serious. None of you when you saw the preview, said come on give me a break. If you would have read my first post on the subject, you would have seen that I said, I love E.T. and it is a great film. However, a remastered soundtrack, a head popping out of the bathtub, and a digitally enhanced E.T., does not warrant the re release to theaters. Just to DVD!!! |
