John Williams takes E.T. to live audiences

Audiences at the Shrine Auditorium will be in for a very special and rare treat this Saturday when John Williams will direct an 85-piece live symphony orchestra to the movie E.T. As part of the celebration for the 20th Anniversary of the movie and its re-release in theaters nationwide, Steven Spielberg and producer Kathleen Kennedy suggested to Williams to do this exceptional live performance.
1,200 musical cues make up the score of E.T. and Williams and his orchestra will be playing alongside the film while the audience will be able to watch it projected on a giant screen overhead.
"Sure it's very difficult," Williams admits about this once-in-a-lifetime event, "but it's an opportunity I couldn't resist." It is the first time aprt from silent movies that a score been taken out of a film and replaced by its live performance as will happen Saturday, and one can only dream of being part of this event.

Damn LA people.

Dana: Who do you think was the source on the quote?
Casey: Danny thinks its Luther
Danny: It's Luther
Dana(to Casey): Who do you think it is?
Casey: I think it's Luther too
Dana: You're both idiots.
Casey: Who do you think it is?
Dana: Oh, I think it's Luther. I'm just saying you're both idiots.
