I was nearly eleven, about the same as Elliot was in the movie. I was completely moved and at the end of the movie. Chills sent down my spine when Et. told Elliot as he touched his forehead. Loved the movie and looking forward to seeing it again and getting the DVD when it comes out in august.

"I'll be here." Et. telling Elliot.

Only a little over a month away until dadadaaaaaadadadadaaaaada

War not make one great. Fear is my ally. Wondering why your here?
Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this battle station. It's the ship that made the Kessel run in less than twelve
parsecs! A boy, a girl and a galaxy.

Wow... I was an old fogey back then, 16 when ET came out, but I still loved it! I could really relate to the kids in that movie very well. Especially the opening scene where they are playing D & D. I haven't played that game in nearly 20 years myself. Also, did you see the can of "Fresca" sitting on the table? I haven't had or seen Fresca in 20 years either. I liked seeing all the Star Wars TIE fighters and X-Wings hanging from Elliots ceiling, and the scene where he is showing ET his Star Wars action figures. I had forgotten how much Star Wars is actually in the film. I am surprized they didn't have Sea-Monkeys in Elliot's fish tank, those are something I haven't seen in a long time either. When ET was taking all the household items to build his communicator to call home, I saw all the things that I had in my house at the time. That movie is one big trip down memory lane, from the clothes everyone wears to the "Uncle Ralph" commercial on TV. It was a lot of fun seeing that movie again.
