I just went to the cinema today and watched The Time Machine and I said to myself "This movie rocks". Though the movie was rushed like the Tomb Raider movie but I didn't care. The Time Machine was still great. I bet H.G.Wells up there is very proud of his great grandson for creating the film based on his novel. When the DVD of The Time Machine is Released in the UK, I'll get it and watch it and see the scenes which were deleted from the film like for example
the shot of the moon exploding and pieces of it falling down to Earth.
The Time Machine is a great novel and film and it will always be treasured for many years to come.

Simon Wells did a creditable job.

It did need more footage, and time spent on the whole Eloi/Morlock relationship.

The Time Machine was alright. The original was way better though! This movie was to short and it seemed like they tried to hurry up and end the movie. The story could of been better too.

Yes, it was a great movie, and is now out on DVD (and I own it!). The post sent above is from May, so this person probably knows about the DVD already. But I just wanted to say something about it anyway: there is only one DVD, and it doesnt show the moon exploding. The deleted scene shows an alternate beginning, where you see the main character with his school class. It shows him talk about time, and physics of the earth. This scene should have been defenetly been left in, for it gives a longer movie, and brings more sense about the time machine. The dumb thing about the movie is that it doesnt show anything about him talking about time at all. It just shows him with the machine 4 years after his girlfriends death.

The movie is still awesome though, and the whole that shows him travelling through time is amazing! But the movie would have been so much better with that one scene!
