guy pearce is the biggest jerk on the surface of this planet...you can be a devoted fan like me, but he is gonna ignore you if you ever encounter him...no matter if you beg him.....

You're being very childish! Guy Pearce is not stuck up at all. A friend of mine met him and he sat down with her and took a pic with her. Guy had a really really bad experience with a "devoted fan" who pulled a KNIFE on him! I should think that would make anybody afraid to go into a crowd of fans after that. Guy is only human! Plus, the security prevented him from mixing with the crowds! I'm never going to boycott a movie just cause a crazed fan didn't get a chance to shake hands with the star! Do you know how crazy that sounds if people actually did that? We don't KNOW these people. They are ACTORS. Try to separate actor from the person.

Another point- It's hard sometimes to seperate a celebrity from someone you personally know. The way celebrities are publicised make it feel like you know them personally. Which isn't bad most times, unless you're a crazed fan that truly believes that a certain celebrity proposed to you telepathically and is dieing for you to have their baby....*ahem*
