There is no doubt about this film being very well made in a certain sense.granted the movie was very talky i suggest you see this film just for the hulks battle with the us army. With all that said. This is the hulk not The Bruce Banner. this film tried so hard to search for a meaning besides it being just about a huge green monster that gets pissed. That there is no Hulk for the first hour of the movie. cgi hulk looks amazing sometimes and horrible at others. Ang Lee shouldnt have placed all his trust in justa cgi HULK for close ups and dramatic scenes in which the hulk is interacting with cast members, Lee should've taken tips from films such as The Lost World and Deep Blue Sea. a "stan winston' creation was needed relly bad for this flick. eric banahas been reviewed awefully for this film i think he did as good as a job he could. and nick nolte's overacting worked FOR THIS FILM.
i for one did not go to this movie to be tought a 1 hour tweaked lesson on one of the most boring origin stories in all of comics. HULK is not a character like DAREDEVIL that isnt that popular with no comic book readers. Everyone knows the hulk whether its from the tv shows or even roller coasters u know he gets pissed and green. Ang Lee as well he can make a film he can ruin a comic "franchise to be" universal got the wrong guy to make this film. he had never read a comic in his life let alone a hulk comic. he didnt see it from the perespective that most of us posters did. he himself did not know the characterknew why people liked the hulk in the first place. nobody likes the hulk for bruce banner.(and if i see any posters say that its a lie just to defend this movie. listen guys i know its hard to say sumtin bad about a comic movie cuz us fans love this stuff but we all need to come to grips that this was upsetting)Most people love the corny Ferigno hulk and that what people expected to see more or less. call me crazy but just a rampaging cgi hulk tear crap up was all i wanted to see. i know every comic film needs to have an origin story but not its entire movie. ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS THE F'ING HULK EVRYONE KNOWS WHO HE IS WHAT HE DOES AND WHY HE DOES IT! |
