| Anticipation Level: |
| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |
I was really looking forward to seeing Hulk since the original teaser came out. Now, I realize I wasted a lot of anticipation on nothing. Every single trailer beats the entire movie. Let's just say that I fell into a deep emotional phase of anger and depression after seeing Hulk.
Ang Lee provided a fine directing job, turning the entire movie into a comic book. ILM gave Hulk a very realistic look. Stan Lee had an interesting cameo with Lou Ferrigno. Danny Elfman scored the movie brilliantly. There's all the good you'll find.
For the bad: the plot was very confused and unorganized. Many things were left untold and the story turned out to be confusing even to those who were big fans of the comic. The beginning of the movie was slow and somewhat boring. When the Hulk came in, the action was all right, but as many people including myself, the major action scenes were left in the dark, resulting in many blind fights. The last thirty minutes of the movie sped by at a thousand miles an hour, going from
a captured Bruce Banner to Hulk fighting some newly formed creature, transformed from his father.
Overall, you should not under any circumstances see Hulk, as it is an embarassment to Marvel Enterprises and the movie industry. If you dare to see it, you might just turn into an angry green monster (which is all right, as long as you don't follow the storyline of the movie). |
