It's slow at times, probably fifteen minutes too long, but when it cranks things up it's phenomenal. In fact, I'd love a special edition cut of this film that's about 20 minutes leaner. Much better action than Spider-Man. Much better spectacle than X-Men. No doubt in my mind. It just doesn't have the warm feel of the Raimi feel or the tightness of the Singer one. It's a little colder. The result is a film that's not better than the others but damn close to being so. It's definitely got more showstopping stuff in it, that's for sure. Bottom line: I loved it.
